Tauranga Netball Centre Umpires’ Group Development  Membership

Umpires are fundamental to the growth of the Tauranga Netball Centre, and to grow we need umpires  to recognise the importance of developing of their skills and rule knowledge, to enable our games and competitions to be aligned with the philosophy of our governing body - World Netball - which is that the Rules of Netball are underpinned by core values of equal opportunity and fair contest, stipulating that player safety must always be the paramount consideration, and that standards of good sporting behaviour and mutual respect must always be upheld.

We have many opportunities for umpires to be developed at our Centre and by joining our Umpires Group, whether you attend an LTU or FFW Learn to Umpire Workshop before the start of our season or at your School (arranged with Umpire Lead before the season starts), or via Umpires’ Membership Pathway – for umpires who are on our “Development Pathway” (working towards your next qualification) or are on our “Continuing Pathway” (staying on the same qualification but wanting to keep up to date with their skills).

By joining Development Membership of the TNC Umpires’ Group you will also become a financial member of the Tauranga Netball Centre which gives us a voice at the TNC Annual General Meeting, so we can contribute to the decision-making process at our AGM with your vote.

So, what do you get for your memberships…
